03. How a Solar panels system works?
A solar panel system works as follows:
Solar Panels: Photovoltaic cells in the panels absorb sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity through the photovoltaic effect.
Inverter: The DC electricity is sent to an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC) electricity, suitable for use in your home or business.
Electrical Panel: The AC electricity flows to the electrical panel, where it is distributed to power your appliances.
Meter: If connected to the grid, a net meter tracks the energy your system produces and consumes, with excess energy sent back to the grid for credit (if applicable).
Utility Grid (optional): If needed, the system can draw electricity from the grid when solar production is insufficient.
04. What is net metering ?
Net metering is a system that allows solar energy users to receive credits for the excess electricity their solar panels generate and send back to the grid. The net meter tracks both the energy consumed and the energy sent back, with credits applied to offset future electricity bills. This helps reduce overall energy costs.
06. What financing options are available for installing a solar power system?
Here’s the difference between On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar Systems:
On-Grid Solar System:
- Connected to the utility grid.
- Solar panels generate electricity, and excess power is sent to the grid.
- No battery storage; relies on the grid for backup power.
- Typically uses net metering to receive credits for excess energy.
Off-Grid Solar System:
- Not connected to the utility grid.
- Solar panels generate electricity stored in batteries for use when needed.
- Requires a battery storage system to provide power during periods without sunlight (e.g., at night).
- Ideal for remote locations without access to the grid.
Hybrid Solar System:
- Combines both on-grid and off-grid features.
- Connected to the grid but also includes battery storage.
- Solar panels generate electricity, excess power can be stored in batteries or sent to the grid.
- Provides backup power from batteries during outages or when solar generation is insufficient.
05. What is difference between On Grid, Off Grid and Hybrid Solar System ?
